It is said that when one is tired of Paris they are tired of life. This might be a bold claim but to truly appreciate this architectural masterpiece one should try and see it from the air. As hiring an aircraft is expensive it’s an idea to look at it from a restaurant or viewing platform instead. Some are so good you’ll be able to see the Roof sealant, possibly provided by CT1, it’s so close. Here are some of the best.

- Tour Montparnasse. It’s not reputed to be the city’s most attractive sight but the view from it is pretty impressive. The 57th floor is reached for a surprisingly small outlay of Euros. You’ll get a 360 degree view including the Eiffel Tower. All of Paris is laid before you.
- Musse D’Orsay. More of a quick stop on the way around the Museum itself. The Cafe at the top of the Museum has a fantastic view of the cityscape through the clock. It’s a restricted view but certainly a great addition to the visit.
- Galeries Lafayette. It’s only on the seventh floor and the view is not full 360, it’s just 270 so not that far away, but you’ll see all the best historical sites of Paris from up there. The Eiffel Tower, the Sacre Coeur and the Palais Garnier. Even better, it’s free and you can go at night as they don’t close till 8pm.
- The Arc de Triomphe. Great views, 360 degrees and all for the low price of 14 Euros this famous landmark gets you a great view of the Tower and the Champs-ElysĂ©es amongst others. Plus you’re on top of the Arc de Triomphe!
